Government of Canada Signage

In 1991 the Treasury Board of the Government of Canada initiated legislation to ensure that all Government buildings be rendered accessible for people with disabilities.

The ensuing Federal Identity Program (FIP) accessibility signage regulations were developed cooperatively with interest groups and industry representatives that included George Jeha, President and founder of Eye Catch Signs. The FIP accessibility signage regulations were introduced in 1997.

BrailliantTouch® was the process authorized by the Government of Canada as the standard for all Braille and tactile signage within the FIP. Eye Catch Signs has been a proud supplier of FIP Braille and tactile signage to the Government of Canada since 1997.

To see examples of FIP signage, layouts, text and size options, view our FIP Sign Schedule, or contact David Moriarity, Account Executive, at eyecatchsigns.com or by phoning our toll free number, 1-888-840-1997.
