Brailliant Touch Technical Specs

BrailliantTouch® architectural accessibility signage is produced using a revolutionary polycarbonate first surface combined with a unique multi-layer system. The result is a versatile, sealed product ideal for accessibility signage applications in a variety of sectors and public facilities.

  • BrailliantTouch® signs meet and exceed the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG): 4.30 signage, the UK and Australia Disabilities Discrimination Act, as well as CSA accessibility standards, CNIB, Ontarians with Disabilities Act and Federal Identity Program in Canada.
  • All graphics and text are sub-surface - no picking off, scratching or tampering with graphics or text.
  • Sign surface finish is matte, non-glare.
  • Raised elements such as pictograms and letters have soft-shouldered edges, eliminating the possibility of hurting or scratching fingertips.
  • Dirt and bacteria, which may accumulate surrounding raised features, can be easily wiped clean with isopropyl alcohol or citrus-based cleaning products.
  • Fire retarding - surface burning characteristics NFPA 255, flame spread index: 15 and smoke developed index: 110. Level 1, Class A rating and self-extinguishing.
  • Pencil hardness: H (ASTM D3363-92)
  • Shear strength: High
  • Graphics and text are fade-resistant.
  • Because there is no first surface paint, signs are chip-proof and peel-free.
