Recording Instructions:
 
To record a new message, use the internal microphone or plug in your tape/CD player. If the internal microphone is to be used, turn the volume down to avoid echoing. Move the Record/Play switch to Record position and start recording. The LED should be lit during recording. Maximum recording time is 40 or 80 seconds, depending on the model used.

• Recording is stopped when maximum message length is reached, or when the Record/Play switch is moved back to the PLAY position.
• Once recorded, the message is stored in the memory permanently. There is no need for battery backup.
• To play message, make sure the Record/Play switch is in the PLAY position and the unit is on.
• Push the button to play the test message once.

Remote Button Installation:

• Remove yellow cap
• Turn lever to the right
• Pull front section of switch away from main body
• Remove black nut
• Drill 22 mm diameter hole where button is to be installed
• Insert front part of switch into the hole from the front
• Tighten nut from the back, do not over-tighten
• Insert the back part of the switch from the back into the front part, matching the words 'top' on each part
• Push lever back
• Insert yellow cap back on top of unit
